AS A WASTE COLLECTOR:

The waste body is made for maximum durability, efficiency, and everyday practicality. With a payload volume of 7–8 m³ and a compact 2,000 mm body width, it is perfectly matched to chassis in the 7.49 t to 8.55 t class. Its lightweight, high‑strength construction enhances payload capacity while maintaining long-term resilience. A liquid‑tight welded floor, a closed 220 mm front wall, and two external reinforcement profiles ensure stability in demanding municipal applications. The body mounts directly to the chassis without the need for a subframe, optimizing weight and lowering the center of gravity. For smooth, low‑wear operation, the ejector plate runs on durable plastic slide guides and is powered by a double‑acting hydraulic telescopic cylinder, automatically retracting 500 mm when the tailgate is lowered. An adjustable counterpressure system allows operators to fine‑tune performance for different waste fractions. Additional comfort and safety features include an optional monitored step board and an ergonomic control terminal positioned within easy reach of the driver — ensuring efficient, intuitive operation throughout every collection round.

FUSO eCANTER: 89 ALL-ELECTRIC REFUSE COLLECTION VEHICLES TAKE OFF IN ATHENS AND THESSALONIKI

The two largest cities in Greece are taking a significant step towards sustainable urban logistics: Athens and Thessaloniki have ordered a total of 89 all-electric FUSO eCanter vehicles that will take over municipal waste collection in the future.
