The FUSO Canter 6.5 t 4×4 is a flexible and efficient all-rounder that is ideally suited for use in changing conditions and demonstrates its strengths all year round.

The Canter 6.5 t 4×4 has everything it needs for higher traction requirements when driving on more demanding terrain: a selectable all-wheel drive for smooth progress, a selectable reduction transmission for increased traction at the wheel through more torque at lower speeds and a self-locking differential for safe dosage of all-wheel power.

Combined with its powerful engine, high ground clearance – 210 mm beneath the front axle and 185 mm beneath the rear axle – and large slope angles – 35 degrees at the front and 25 degrees at the rear – all these features give the Canter 6.5 t 4×4 tremendous climbing ability.

Given its warp-resistant, 6 mm thick ladder frame made of steel – with a frame width of 750 mm – and two wheelbases – 3,415 mm and 3,865 mm – and a load capacity of up to 3,680 kg, the chassis is the perfect basis for a wide range of body solutions. The choice between comfort single and comfort double cab allows an even more individual configuration and is further proof of its operational flexibility.

The Canter 6.5 t 4×4 is a leader in its segment thanks to its equipment and the combination of variability and payload – even in a direct price-performance comparison.

  • Both cabs are 1,995 mm wide and combine compact exterior dimensions with a spacious interior. The comfort single cab has three seats and the comfort double cab has seven seats.

ENGINE.
EFFICIENT AND POWERFUL.

The Canter 6.5 t 4×4 features a powerful 3-litre engine with 129 kW (175 hp) output, ideally dimensioned for all-wheel drive applications.

  • Its turbocharger with variable turbine geometry ensures optimum response and consistently high torque even at low engine speeds.
  • It features the latest common-rail technology and a start-stop function as standard.
  • A closed, automatically regenerating diesel particulate filter in combination with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) cleans the exhaust gases.
  • The engine complies with the EURO VI standard (stage E).

TRANSMISSION.
MANUAL AND ALL-WHEEL.

FUSO installs a 5-speed manual transmission with optional selectable all-wheel drive in the Canter 6.5 t 4×4.

  • The selectable all-wheel drive enables intermittent driving in demanding terrain.
  • Power distribution in all-wheel drive mode is 60% to the front axle and 40% to the rear axle.
  • The additional reduction transmission reduces the engine speed on more demanding terrain, if necessary, and thus increases the torque.
  • A self-locking differential rounds off the technology package for more traction and driving stability.

SAFETY.
PROTECT AND SUPPORT.

The Canter 6.5 t 4×4 is equipped with various modern assistance and safety systems.

  • ABS, EBV (electronic brake force distribution) and the driver’s airbag are included as standard.
  • LDWS (lane departure warning system) is available as an option.
  • In addition to the standard LED daytime running lights, there are optional front headlights in LED design.
  • In addition to the optional passenger airbag, the standard seatbelt reminder enhances occupant safety.
  • A reinforced rear underride guard offers even better protection in the case of rear-end collisions.
